BEING THE CHANGE WE NEED TO SEE
In 2024 and into 2025, RDK9 began visiting one of the nursing homes that our CEO & Founder’s EMS agency services. Our goal was to help ease the mind of the residents not only by bringing comfort by a K9 visitation but also so that when Meredith needed to attend to them during medical emergencies, they would recognize her as the K9 lady and not just EMS. We have had amazing responses through this program and hope to expand to other nursing homes as well!
Our Story
Every day, residents of nursing homes across the country struggle with the loss of their freedom, independence, and face loneliness. RDK9 aims to change this by visiting such residents with their trained K9s in hopes to ease the minds of those who face these struggles. Our THERAPY K9s are similar to these residents and have gone from once alone and weary, to giving back to their community by spreading the joy they now have with those in need.
